The board of trustees is made up of former volunteers and staff from InterVol's university branches and between them they have extensive knowledge of volunteering overseas and the third sector. The trustees advise the InterVol university committees to evaluate and improve InterVol's work and also build beneficial relationships with other charities and universities.

Rob Chuter 
One of InterVol's first volunteers in 2003, Rob is now the secretary of InterVol's trustee board and point of contact for the Nottingham University committee. Rob has taken part in InterVol projects in Uganda and Ecuador and set up the current Little Big Africa Project at the University of Nottingham in 2009. Rob was secretary and president during his time on the University of Birmingham InterVol committee and is now working as a medical physicist in Manchester.

Andrew Bartley
Andrew was part of the team that set-up InterVol in 2003 at the University of Birmingham. An experienced trainer and co-ordinator in the charity sector Andrew also co-founded the Oxford Burma Alliance at the University of Oxford. Andrew has spent time volunteering overseas in Cambodia and on the Thai-Burmese border. Andrew now focuses on training for the InterVol trustee board and leads our annual child protection training.

Angharad Evans 
Currently working for RedR in London, Angharad volunteered on and co-ordinated InterVol Birmingham's Bulgaria project in 2005 and 2006. Angharad has previously worked for both the British and Australian Red Cross and CARE International and manages InterVol's online fund-raising platforms, advising on best practice in fund-raising and project management.

Cai Heath 
Currently working for the Ethox Centre at the University of Oxford, Cai was on InterVol's committee at the University of Birmingham over the course of three years before becoming the chair of InterVol's trustee board. Cai has volunteered on InterVol projects in Cambodia, Nepal and Kenya and was part of the team that set up Project Nepal at Imperial College London.

Sam Poskitt
Sam brought together a group of students at Lancaster University to volunteer on the Little Big Africa project in Uganda in 2011. He subsequently set up InterVol Lancaster and was its president in 2012 and 2013. Sam is an environmental resource management PhD student at the James Hutton Institute and Reading University. Sam is the primary contact for the InterVol Lancaster committee.

Faheem Hussain
Faheem was the Vice-President of InterVol Birmingham over two years between 2013-2015 and founded the India (Assam) project in partnership with UTSAH during that time. Faheem supports InterVol's financial planning and our work in India. Faheem is currently studying for a Master's Degree in Economics and Strategy for Business at Imperial College London.
